For Contents Sake!
Writing a blog is a weighty undertaking and requires constant determination to put fingers to keyboard and find something to say. There are two countering factors at work, writing because you have to is likely to reduce the quality of posts (like this one).
On the other hand, you need to generate content for your readers otherwise, what is the point. Search engines love to see the new content too. Where’s is the happy medium?
I try and write about 15 posts a month, which is roughly a post every other day if I work on it at the weekends.
It is also a good habit to post at particular times during the week. Your regular visitors will know that there should be new content on the blog. For example, we know that SEOMoz’s – Whiteboard Friday should appear on a Friday and we are very disappointed when we don’t see Rand, amiably discussing a hot-topic in SEO.
However, one of the joys of blogging is the two-way nature of communication and so now it’s your turn. Leave a comment below and let me know your experience of writing blogs and how you write.

15 posts in a month is too much. How will you manage these many posts? I just want to know as I have just started by own blog…
It is a personal thing. I find that around 15 in a month is okay for me and strikes a balance between the time it takes to research and write an article and giving readers enough material to come back for more. If you are just starting you should probably be writing more to build up your content. Managing the posts once they have been written is not really an issue.
